~ Purpose ~
This camp aims to provide a rich environment where students will be encouraged to pursue excellence in solo and ensemble playing. Through the guidance of highly qualified instructors, students will explore the many facets of chamber music, developing sensitivity to the particular needs of an ensemble and the stylistic requirements of different musical periods. The culmination of the camp's activities will be a concert on Friday evening where students will present the works they have studied. A reception will follow..
~ Student Information ~
Junior high and high school players who have at least two years of experience are encouraged to participate. Students will be placed in ensembles according to their ability. Music will be mailed to the students the week of July 11 so they can prepare ahead of time. Please contact Beth Pile (814.445.3221) for more information.
